Try this now: your 5-Minute conflict navigation reset

Before your next difficult conversation, engage all your leadership senses:

  1. What do you see? Body language, energy shifts, who’s leaning in or pulling back.

    Try it: Observe without speaking for two minutes. What patterns emerge?

  2. What do you hear? Listen to tone, pace, pauses. What’s the emotional texture?

    Practice: Notice when someone’s words say “I’m fine” but their voice says something else.

  3. What do you sense? Trust your intuition. Where’s the real issue hiding?

    Apply it: Before responding, ask: “What’s really happening here?”
